LETS stands for Local Exchange Trading Scheme. It is a way a community can trade skills, services or goods without needing or using real money. It's a bit like a barter system, but you don't have to do a direct swap - instead you use a local complementary currency. With the internet revolution its become clear that LETS would benefit hugely (in terms of costs and administration) by being online.

So Penwith LETS is our new, online LETS scheme.

We trade using a currency called "Pecs", at a Standard Rate of 10 Pecs per hour - ... see Information pages

We welcome members from all over the Penwith area, and all kinds of skills are both valued and needed.
